Cast your basketball clip

Player Photo Guide

You need one clear photo of the dunker. A second photo is optional, for the defender. You do not need to take the pictures on a basketball court.

Photo 1: the dunker

Use one adult per photo, with a sharp, unobstructed face. Include the upper body and outfit you want to appear in the video. A full-body photo can provide more clothing detail, but is not required.

  • Face the camera in clear, even lighting.
  • Avoid sunglasses, masks and hands covering the face.
  • Use a still photo without app buttons, captions or heavy blur.

Photo 2: the optional defender

Add a friend's photo in the second slot to cast the defender. Leave it empty to keep the template defender. Photo 1 always casts the dunker; photo 2 never changes that role.

The court is included

The video places your players on the nighttime basketball court. Your uploaded photo backgrounds do not become the video's setting.

File requirements

Use JPG, PNG or WebP files up to 20 MB. Keep each dimension from 301 to 5,999 pixels and the width-to-height ratio greater than 0.4 and less than 2.5. Use one person per photo.

Use photos you may animate

Upload photos of yourself or other adults who agreed to the video. Do not use children, celebrities or public figures, or create harassing or misleading videos.
